Hartlepool Matters CIC
Hartlepool Matters CIC's mission:
"To provide, support and grow community services for the people of Hartlepool".
The PFC Trust began in July 2019 as an organisation providing grants, scholarships and donations to organisations and projects that were already helping the people of Hartlepool.
When the Covid-19 pandemic hit the UK in 2020 we found ourselves wanting to become more directly involved on helping the community so we agreed to set up Community Interest Company which was registered 30th September 2020.
This is a new venture for us but we already have a project up and running (JAM) that provides clothing to those who are in need and have no other means of obtaining any.
There are more projects currently under creation, with many involving working in partnership with other local charities and organisations so watch this space!
Jumpers and More
JAM, as part of the PFC Trust, was set up to provide help for people in immediate need due to unforeseen circumstances. Since opening, the project has helped over 85 individuals and families in Hartlepool facing hardship at this time. Other items such as bedding and babies' cots, in addition to clothing, have also been distributed to help and support families in need.
We are open via a referral system through established agencies such as schools, police fire and council departments. Our aid to provide free support where immediate help is needed.

Hartlepool United Community Foundation
The PFC Trust have developed a solid partnership with Hartlepool United Community Foundation over the last few months. During the pandemic, the PFC Trust supplied a number of tablets to ensure that young people connected to the Foundation could access their National Citizen Scheme (NCS) programme, if it went digital. In return the NCS groups that accessed the programme in both summer and autumn have decided to centre their local action group's social action project around supporting the PFC Trust's Christmas mission. The local action group consists of young people aged 16 and 17 who have set up two drop off points for local community members to donate Christmas gifts. The gifts will then be donated to the PFC Trust and distributed amongst families who they work with with in the local community.
